Pat

I think your dream is a good one but let me share the story of one person who attends the same campus I attend. This person was rejected from being involved in the arts through worship, not because she couldn't sing but because she wasn't involved in a small group. Yet I know we have people (read it in your book) involved on the platform who aren't Christ followers. Seems like a clear double standard to me.

This same person was recently asked to step down from hospitality at the campus due to a conflict between her and the new team leader - a leader who had not even been involved on the team prior to becoming it's leader. Rather than work to solve the conflict, this person was left with no choice but to not serve. I don't understand how we can even think of squandering even one person's talents yet we've done it to this person twice now. Seems to me we need to appreciate those who serve a little more and be careful that we treat them all equally.

Pat,

Send me the name of that person so I can contact them and hear the story from them and all parties or tell them to contact me. If it occurred exactly like you are saying that is unacceptable. Let's get it resolved.

Thanks!

Dave
