Willow Creek Community Church is starting a brand new site in Chicago. This was something that had been in the works for some time. I know Jim Tomberlin, who oversaw the regional strategy from the beginning (and is now consulting on his own ) really wanted to see this happen. However, it kept getting put off for a variety of reasons. But now it is happening. The Chicago Tribune had an interesting article on Tuesday telling how Willow Creek will launch a new site in the Chicago Auditorium. Should be awesome! I can't wait to hear about it and learn from them.
I will be seeing Tom Waits in concert at the Auditorium on Wednesday. I'll let you know if I've seen any signs of Willow-ization.

Eric, if you get there and it doesn't look like a church - it's been willow-ized!

I think that it is awesome to see willow reaching out and starting a new site. My question is since they are only going to be there for a year do they have plans to build a new site or just move somewhere else? Can anyone help on this.
